After graduating in oenology from the Faculté d’Œnologie de Bordeaux (1989) and obtaining a doctorate from the University of Bordeaux (1996), I worked as head of biotechnology R&D for the Laffort Œnologie group. Wishing to redirect my professional career towards teaching and research, I was appointed Senior Lecturer in 2001, then Professor in 2011 at Bordeaux Sciences Agro, where I have been Director of Research since January 2016. I am attached to the Oenology Research Unit, EA 4577 USC INRA, in the microbiology team.
